Well now, let me tell ya about that Ilja Dragunov fella, a real tough one, don’t you know? He’s the current NXT UK Champion, and just recently, he made a big announcement. On December 17th, 2021, he went ahead and got married! Yep, that’s right, the man who’s known for his big ol’ matches and fierce wrestling in the ring, tied the knot with his sweetheart, and he’s all happy about it. Can’t blame the man, huh? He shared a photo from his wedding on Twitter and Instagram, lookin’ all happy with his new wife by his side.
Now, from what I hear, Ilja’s a bit of a family man. He’s got a young son, Constantine, who’s around 4 years old. The fella’s mentioned his son in interviews and all, so it’s clear he’s got a soft spot for his little one, even though he’s all tough and strong in the ring. Ain’t that just the way of the world, though? Big ol’ strong men can be soft on the inside, especially when it comes to their kiddos.
The wedding day, well, it was a special one for him, no doubt about it. Ilja, known as the Czar in the wrestling world, has now found his Czarina. I reckon the two of ‘em must’ve had a real nice ceremony, probably something small and intimate, but who knows? They kept it all private, just shared the photo online to let the world know they’re a couple now. If you ask me, it seems like they make a mighty fine pair.
Before his marriage, Ilja was busy makin’ a name for himself in the world of wrestling. He’s been with NXT UK for a while now, and boy, has he earned that championship title! His big match against WALTER at NXT TakeOver 36 was somethin’ to talk about. He defeated that big fella and walked away with the title. It was a real nail-biter of a match, and people were talkin’ about it for a long time afterward. But no matter how tough he is in the ring, looks like family’s just as important to him as his career.
Now, Ilja’s been in the business a few years, and he’s certainly earned his keep. His salary’s reported to be around $200,000 a year, thanks to his hard work and dedication. But even with all that money and fame, it’s clear that his personal life matters just as much to him. After all, who wouldn’t want to share their success with the person they love? Just like a farmer workin’ the land with his partner, it’s all about that shared journey, right?
But don’t go thinkin’ it’s all roses and sunshine for ol’ Ilja. Just recently, the poor fella got injured. Had a torn ACL during one of his house show matches, and now he’s lookin’ at six to nine months of recovery. That’s a long time off, and I bet he’s itchin’ to get back in the ring. But hey, injuries happen, and sometimes you gotta take a step back and rest up before you can get back to doin’ what you love.
So, while Ilja’s takin’ a bit of a break, he’s still got his family, his championship, and his fans rootin’ for him. And when he gets back, you can bet he’ll be ready to go. Ain’t nothin’ keeps a good man down for long, especially when he’s got a strong lady by his side.
As for his wife, well, there ain’t much known about her, except that she’s the lucky one who got Ilja to settle down. I reckon she’s a quiet lady, keepin’ out of the spotlight, but she’s surely got a big ol’ heart, standin’ beside him through thick and thin. I hope they have many happy years together, and that their little one, Constantine, grows up strong just like his daddy.
In the end, it’s nice to see that even in a tough sport like wrestling, where you gotta be mean and strong, there’s room for love and family. Ilja Dragunov might be a champion in the ring, but it looks like he’s just as much of a champion at home too. And that, my friends, is somethin’ worth celebratin’!
