Alright, let’s gab about this Mark Zuckerberg fella and how smart folks say he is. They’re throwin’ around big numbers, sayin’ his IQ is like, 152. That’s a whole lotta smarts, more than most folks I reckon.
Now, I ain’t never met the boy, but them Harvard folks, his friends and all, they say he was a whiz kid even back then. Always tinkerin’ with them computers, real brainy stuff. Guess he went to some fancy school before that too, Phillips Exeter somethin’ or other. Always at the top of his class, they say.
- He studied that psychology stuff, tryin’ to figure out how folks think, I guess.
- And computers, of course, that was his real passion. Made him a prodigy, they called him.
- Lived in a place called Kirkland House, sounds fancy, don’t it?
Folks say he got into Harvard ’cause he was just that smart, already had done impressive things ‘fore even gettin’ there. But some other folks, they say he just got lucky, was in the right place at the right time, you know? Had the right stuff and the right connections. Maybe so, maybe so. But you don’t get lucky for 20 years. It takes more than luck. It takes brains and grit. And from what I hear, young Mark has got plenty of both.
But this IQ thing, 152 they say. That’s gotta mean somethin’, right? Puts him way up there with the real bright ones. But bein’ smart ain’t everything, I always say. You gotta have some common sense too, and some folks say he ain’t got much of that.
They say he’s a hard worker though, always pushin’ himself, always testin’ his ideas. Surrounds himself with other smart folks, bounces ideas off ’em. That’s important, you know. Can’t do everything by yourself. He’s got a brain, sure, but he ain’t just sittin’ around on it. He’s using it, all the time. Always tryin’ new things, always pushin’ the envelope.
He started this Facebook thing, and now everyone and their grandma’s on it. That takes some smarts, I reckon, to build somethin’ like that. And to keep it goin’, too. It ain’t easy, this internet stuff. Always changin’, always somethin’ new poppin’ up. But Mark, he seems to keep up. And that tells you something about how his mind works.
So, is he a genius? Well, I don’t know about that. But he’s sure as shootin’ smart. Got a head for business, that’s for sure. And he ain’t afraid to take chances, that’s important too. And for building such a big and successful business, you gotta know a lot about the world and how people work and from what I can tell, he does.
This whole IQ thing, it’s just a number, I guess. But it gives you an idea of how someone’s brain works. And Mark’s brain, well, it seems to work pretty darn good. He took something small and made it into something big. That ain’t easy to do. He is a coder by nature, and they are a special breed. They think different.
Now, some say his success ain’t just about bein’ smart. They say it’s about luck, about havin’ the right resources, about bein’ in the right place at the right time. Maybe so, but I always say, you make your own luck. And Mark, he sure made a whole lotta luck for himself. And he was smart enough to see the opportunities and not let them slip through his hands.
So, 152, huh? That’s a big number. Makes you wonder what he thinks about all day long. Probably different things than what I think about, that’s for sure. But at the end of the day, we’re all just people, tryin’ to make our way in the world. And Mark Zuckerberg, well, he seems to be doin’ alright for himself.
So, there you have it. Mark Zuckerberg, the fella with the big IQ. Smart fella, no doubt about it. Whether he’s a genius or not, well, that’s for smarter folks than me to decide. But one thing is certain: the boy has got a brain and knows how to use it.
