Well, let me tell ya about this Bryson fella, Bryson DeChambeau, they call him. He’s one of them golfin’ boys, you know, the kind that whacks them little white balls with a stick. Now, I don’t know much about golf, but I hear tell he’s a pretty big deal, wins some big tournaments. They call ‘em “majors,” like they’re somethin’ real important.
Seems like this Bryson, he’s won himself one of these majors. Yep, just one. They say it was the U.S. Open back in 2020. 2020 U.S. Open, that’s the one he got. Folks were makin’ a big fuss about it, sayin’ he played real good, beat all them other golfin’ fellas. Winged Foot, that’s where it was. They say that golf course was tough, but Bryson, he just went and whacked that ball all over the place and won it all. Imagine that! Whackin’ a little ball and winnin’ somethin’ big. Makes no sense to me, but that’s what they say.

Now, they got these other majors too, three more of ‘em. And this Bryson, well, he ain’t won them yet. He’s tried, I reckon, but he ain’t come out on top. They say he’s been in the top 10 sometimes, which I guess is pretty good, seein’ as how there’s a whole bunch of them fellas playin’. But winnin’ is what matters, right? That’s what they tell me, anyway. You ain’t nobody ‘til you win, they say. So, he’s got one, but he needs more, I guess.
Just recently, though, somethin’ happened. This fella, Bryson, he went and won another U.S. Open! Yep, 2024, just this year. Pinehurst, North Carolina, that’s where it was. 2024 U.S. Open champion, that’s Bryson! Folks were real happy, cheerin’ and clappin’. I saw it on the TV, all them folks goin’ crazy for this Bryson. He must be somethin’ special, I figure, if he can make all them people that happy. He’s whacked that little ball and won again. Two big wins now. That’s a lot, even for a golfin’ fella, I’d say.
They also say he won somethin’ over in Dubai back in 2019. Omega Dubai Desert Classic, they called it. Won by a whole bunch, seven shots they say. That’s like winnin’ by a mile, ain’t it? So, he’s been winnin’ things for a while now. Not just these majors, but other stuff too. He seems like a fella who knows how to win, even if I don’t understand how he does it with that little ball and stick.
So, that’s the story of Bryson DeChambeau and his majors. One in 2020, and then another one just now in 2024, both U.S. Opens. He’s tryin’ to win them other ones, but ain’t got there yet. Maybe he will, maybe he won’t. Only time will tell. But two majors, that’s somethin’ to be proud of, I reckon. Even an old lady like me can see that. He’s a winner, that Bryson. He just keeps on whacking that ball and winnin’ them tournaments. Good for him, I say.

And who knows, maybe I’ll even understand this golf thing a little better by then. But probably not. It’s just a bunch of fellas whacking a ball, far as I can tell.
