Alright, let’s talk about this red spider putter I picked up. My putting, well, it was getting pretty frustrating. You know how it is. Felt like I was leaving shots all over the green. First Swings and Practice

Over the next few rounds, I started noticing a pattern. My short putts, inside 6 feet, felt more confident. The putter just seemed easier to keep on line for those nerve-wracking little testers. Lag putting took more adjustment because the feel off the face is different, kinda softer than my old steel blade. But I wasn’t leaving myself those terrible second putts as often.
So, What’s the Verdict?
Been playing with the red spider for a few months now. It’s definitely staying in the bag. Look, it’s not a magic wand. My putting hasn’t suddenly become tour pro level. I still have bad days. You still gotta read the greens right and put a good stroke on it. Practice is still key, always will be.
But, for me, it works better than my old putter. It feels more stable, especially on shorter putts. The alignment is easier with that shape and the red color contrast. It just suits my eye and my stroke better right now. It gives me a bit more confidence standing over the ball. And sometimes, that little bit of confidence is all you need on the greens. So yeah, the red spider putter experiment? I’d say it was a success. Happy I made the switch.
