This year, that big golf thing, the PGA Championship, it’s gonna be something else. They say it’s in 2023, and I heard it’s gonna be in May. From the 18th to the 21st, I reckon. Gonna be a whole bunch of folks there, watchin’ them fellas hit that little white ball around.
2023 PGA Championship, Where’s It At?
Now, where is this 2023 PGA Championship gonna be? They told me it ain’t like that Masters thing. This one, it moves around, I guess. They said this year it is at a place called Oak Hill. Don’t know where that is, but it sounds fancy, don’t it? Probably got lots of them big trees and green grass and all. Probably a long ways away from here. Those rich folks, they like their fancy places for their golf games.
Who’s Playin’ in This Golf Thing?
They say there’s gonna be a whole mess of them golfers there. A hundred and fifty-six, can you believe that? One hundred and fifty-six men all chasin’ that little ball. I don’t know all their names, but I heard there’s some fellas from that LIV thing. Sounds like a disease to me, but I guess it’s another one of them golf things.

They say them LIV fellas can play in this PGA Championship now. And something called the U.S. Ryder Cup? Sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me. But I guess it’s important to them golf folks. Some big shot named Kerry Haigh, he’s the boss of these things, he said it was just a “cleanup.” Don’t know what that means, but I guess it means they can play now.
When to Watch This PGA Championship
So, when can you see all this? Well, they say it starts on that Thursday. I guess that’s the 18th. Then they play Friday, Saturday, and the big day is Sunday. That’s the 21st, I reckon. That’s when they find out who’s the best at whacking that little ball around.

How Much Money They Playin’ For?
Now, you ain’t gonna believe how much money these fellas are playin’ for. It’s a whole lot, I tell ya. They say the purse, that’s what they call it, the purse for this 2024 PGA Championship is $18.5 million. Can you imagine that? Eighteen and a half million dollars! For hittin’ a little ball around! It ain’t right, I tell ya. We work our fingers to the bone, and they get all that money for playin’ a game.
2023 PGA Championship, What Else Is There?
I heard that this Oak Hill place, it’s a tough one. Lots of hills, I guess. And the grass is probably real thick. Makes it hard to hit that ball. They gotta be real good to play there. I wouldn’t want to be out there in that heat, chasin’ that ball around. I’d rather be sittin’ on my porch, sippin’ some sweet tea.
This PGA Championship, it’s a big deal, I guess. Lots of folks watchin’, lots of money on the line. I don’t understand all of it, but it sure is something to talk about, ain’t it? All them fellas, all that money, all for a game. It’s a crazy world, I tell ya.
I heard them say that this whole golf thing is a big deal for that town, too. Oak Hill, or whatever it’s called. Lots of people comin’ in, spendin’ their money. Good for them, I guess. Maybe they’ll get some new roads or somethin’.
Well, I reckon that’s all I know about this 2023 PGA Championship. It’s gonna be a big to-do, that’s for sure. I might watch a little bit of it on the television, if I can figure out which channel it’s on. But I ain’t gonna get too excited about it. It’s just a game, after all. But a rich man’s game, that’s for sure.
Who’s Gonna Win This Thing?
That’s what everyone wants to know, ain’t it? Who’s gonna win all that money? I don’t know, I ain’t no expert. But I heard them talkin’ about some fella named… oh, what was his name? Started with an S, I think. Or maybe a J. Anyway, they say he’s pretty good. Won a bunch of these things before. Maybe he’ll win this one, too. Or maybe it’ll be someone new. That’s the fun of it, I guess. You never know who’s gonna come out on top. It is hard to say who will win the 2023 PGA Championship.
I remember one year, there was this fella, he wasn’t supposed to win. Nobody thought he had a chance. But he went out there and played his heart out. And you know what? He won the whole dang thing! That was somethin’, I tell ya. Just goes to show, you never know what can happen. That is what makes this 2023 PGA Championship so exciting.
